THE CHARACTERS

The party arrives behind the lines of the southern force. They are taken to a tent and given somthing to eat. A bit later a man comes along and takes their names and a brief story of where they've been. The group is a bit evasive about some of their wanderings. Eventually the man leaves and they are allowed to rest, the first real rest they've had in weeks.

Karieen explains what happend them (to Estryellia) and she tells them of some of her time on the Red Isle, where she was learning ring making from Aeilima the sorcerer. Ross pipes up that he believes that Estryellia owes him a significant amount of money they argue about it but nothing is resolved. Karieen tells everyone that last night she had a vision. In the vision the goddess Chaldisaya appeared to her and told her several things:
1. She is the last priestess of Chaldisaya left alive.
2. Until she grows stronger priests will be unable to turn the undead, however she will teach her how to create wards to help repel them.
3. The godess has hidden some of her power in the town called Stand Town. The power is in form of her tears. Karieen should form a party to go and fetch some of the tears and bring them back to Sylvias Rest to clean the old temple, since the power of Distaria (the evil one)can see through the old temples of Chaldisaya.

Eventually they are summoned to larger tent where they are asked to tell their stories again. As the walk in Estryellia see's her father amongst the other commanders. While they are being questioned Estryellia tells the person that her father is Voc Izaya Tyre. They are taken over to where he is and once it's proved that she's his daughter she is turned over to him. Izaya tells them that they will have to wait a moment then they all go into another tent.

In this room is Jkenna Junico Sailon I the Jkenna (King) of Sylvias Rest and the lands of Deserata, also present are several minor functionaries. Izaya tells Estryellia that her mother Morgan was last seen in the streets of Deserata minutes before the city was destroyed. Wether or not she had anything to do with the destruction of the city is unknown to him. They ask the charcters to go over their stories again. As they tell them Izaya and Junico (aka Jun) begin to plot strategy.

Izaya is for bypassing the town of Stevens Hold since it has in his opinion no military value except the nearby bridge (which the army now controls). Jun disagrees, he feels that some of the people in Stevens Rest are loyal subjects and deserved to be saved. Izaya tells Jun that it's not worth breaking the army for the town. Jun being the ruler of Sylvias Rest wins the argument and Izaya promises to get the troops moving in that direction.

notices Karieen in the group and goes over to her (Jun and Scala/Karieen have always been making eyes at each other but since's a lord and she a commoner nothing was going to happen). Jun tells her that he's very happy to see her and has made a very hard decision. He says that he has decided to ask her to be his wife. She says "yes" and Izaya comments that they shold be planning the battle rather than a wedding. Jun and his retinue bid them farewell. Ross aproaches Izaya and says that he wants to have a word with him about his daughter. Izaya refuses to discuss ANYTING with the hobbit that has anything to do with his daughter. Ross mentiones that he is owed about 4,000 gp and feel that Izaya should pay it. Izaya offers Ross a job and for a while the subject is side lined.
