The party is waiting for Estryellias father to get into town so she will find out who she is going to marry. Serrif is questioned by Jkenna Jun about what his future plans are. Jun reveals that he is building two new villages in order to accommodate the sudden influx of people fleeing from the north. The first village, named Kida (honoring his recently dead wife) is located just over the hills about 40 miles away. The second is named Marby Morlan (named after a former prime paladin of Chaldisaya), this town is meant as a trade link with the empire of Khan. Jun mentions that he would like Serif to handle the day to day running of one of the villages. Serif thanks Jun but declines the offer. Later most of the party decide to go dress shopping and quickly overwhelm the seamstress’s ability to make clothes.

Scala has a talk with Lissa in which she finds out that she has borrowed 10,000 gp using Scala’s name from local money lenders. They discuss how Lissa is going to pay the money back. Lissa is unconcerned since business is going well and the only competition are a group of women she refers to as warf rats. Lissa offers to buy Serrif out using a monthly installment play, decides that’s for the best and takes the deal.

Aki and Fin observe some Sadakishians in the bar and take note that they’re from the red faction (Estryellias fathers group) and this advanced party can only mean that he is getting closer. He is still expected the next day.

The next day Izaya arrives with his retinue and holds talks with Jun. Later the group is summoned to the manor. Izaya announces that his daughter (Estryellia) will be presented to Jun as a possible bride. However there will be other women on hand at the same time and Jun will pick one. Before that Jun has a mission for the party. There is an old road out of the village Kida. It’s know that the road connects with the mysterious empire known as Myto. Although not much is known about the empire there is a small trickle of high quality trade goods that makes it’s way in from Myto. Jun has decided that the trail should be scouted and possibly make into a road in order to bring in more trade from Myoto. He says that the bride choosing will not be for almost a month so they have time to scout the trail and then be back for the ceremony. Jun is careful to tell them not to venture into Myto territory and to possibly look into rumors of a group called the Moon Cult that supposedly inhabits the area.

When the party arrives at the village of Kida they hear all manner of stories about the Moon Cult. One is that a guard says that a future version of himself came out and talked to him. Others report strange lights. The party heads out into the forest.
