Once the party arrives back at the town they hear that the last two alts of the 20th have arrived along with their commander Kenna Alexander. Serif and Scala are summoned to meet with the Alt commander. Kenna Alexander is the cousin to the Jkenna Jun. He is in Mountain Vale along with his wife Kennis Mira and son Klep.

Brian is dreaming. He’s back on Tryer but the country side is empty. He hears a woman’s voice. The voice tells him that she has his wife in captivity and she will use her as she see’s fit. Brian demands that she be returned but the voice just mocks him saying that when she (the voice) tells him to he will need to perform an action for her and that when she commands he best accomplish the command as soon as possible or else his wife will suffer.

At the part held in honor of The Kenna and Kennis, Fin the bard entertains the party with some light verse while Brian (who crashed the party) sits in the corner and glowers at the other guests. Estryellia is paired with the Kennas son, Klep but he doesn’t seem to want anything to do with her . Later when the dancing starts Scala dances with the Kenna and does her best to avoid his wandering hands. Later at the party Estryellia notices that her former mentor Estell (the Silver Sorcerers) is a late comer to the festivities, Estryellia tells Estell that she needs to take to her about what they found in the Blister The next day they have a meeting in private with Estell. They tell her about the gates under the Blister. Estell cautions them on telling too many people about the gates, she tells them that countries will go to war in order to secure a gate. They learn the best way to close a gate as well as the fact that it sounds like the “Blister” was once a regular gate similar to An liona (the main gate) but it sounds as if it has been damaged and the gate transit locations have become fixed.
