Adventure Log # 34

SITUATION
The characters work for the King (Jkenna) in exile from the country of Deserata. Where it was once a beacon of light and good Deserata has fallen upon evil times and is currently rules by Distaria I, the grandaughter of Silvia The Good. The town of Sylvias Rest has become the center of the new Kingdom. Currently Deserata and New Deserata are at war.

THE CHARACTERS Not all of the characters are in play. Some are resting, others are helping the newly created kingdom get off the ground by doing adminstrative work.

Morgan Tyre (currently helping build a temple in Sylvias Rest) Morgan in one of three priestess of Chaldisaya left alive after the others were betrayed by a traitor to Queen Distaria. Morgan is one of the few people that knows that the Goddess Chaldisaya is slowly being destroyed by Distaria. Morgan has two daughters by Izaya Tyre a local warlord. One has become a priestess like her mother. She married a paladin of the religion and lives in hiding. Morgans other daughter is a magic user and may have fallen under the shadow of evil.

Kebridane (currently protecting Sylvias Rest from attack) Kebridane is one of the most powerfull mages on the world however his lack of knowledge of how the spells work hamper his abilities. Kebridane looks about 15 but is much older, maybe centuries older.

Scalla (currently protecting Sylvias Rest from attack) Probally on par with Kebridane as a mage. Scalla is a good friend of Van (Lady) Morgan and a recent convert to the church of Chaldisaya. Scalla has fallen from time to time under the shadow of Distaria and has vowed to see the Queen dead. There have been rumors of a romance between Van Scalla and the King of Sylvias Rest but they have never been proven, even if they were true Scalla is a commoner and a merchant so there is little chance for anything comming of it.

Aki (Seeking converts for her religion in Sylvias Rest) Aki is a woman who has come to the vocation late in life. She has taken to the religion of Marcia The Lady of Sharks. Until recently she was part of a device known as Esnith an ancient world destroying creature shaped like a young woman. Aki was broken off from the device and has none of the traits or personality of Esnith.

Serrif is on the road to Mountain Vale to become it's lord and to be married. Serrif wants none of this but is doing it as a favor to the King. Serrif has been mixed up with Distaria the Queen of Deserata and may have had a child by her. The Queen has taken a more than passing interest in him in the past.

Esnith is on the road to Mountain Vale. Up until recently her and Aki were joined together sharing the same body. Since Aki has been removed Esnith seems to have lost all balance and been seeking pure sensation. Esnith is an ninja by training but recently she has been indulgeing in orgyies taking on all commers. She is traveling to Mountain Vale because her boyfriends are the brothers and cousins of Serrifs Bride.

Kimmi. Kimmi is a Manthootian (Pale humanoid) female fighter. In the past she swore allegiance to Queen Distaria but was betrayed by the ruler and is now humted by the Queens minions.

Kevin. Kevin is a Manthootian male fighter. Althought male Manthootian fighters are rare because of their lack of strength Kevin has proven to be the exception.

Fin McCool. Fin is a bard going to Mountain Vale to perform at the wedding. Brack. Brack is a male martial artist trying to find a place to study his art.

Notable NPC's Mauge of Dunshine-Mauge is Serrifs bride to be. She is from a place called The Second Kingdom known for their flaming red hair. Maug is no exception but is also capable with spear and shield since she is a follower of the god Daudman who personifies death in battle. Maug has few illusions about Serrifs intentions. Serrif has already said that once they are married he will go back to adventuring, leaving Mauge to run the fief.

Adventure: The party is sent hurrying to catch up with the carravan heading to Mountain Vale. They manage to make the hills above Syvlias Rest by night fall and proceed with the caravan the next day. As well as Maugs furniture there is a contingent of men from her country with the caravan. Also a hundred Manthootian archers are traveling with them to beef up the Mountain Vale garrison.Serrif is sick in bed so he is being cared for by Maug in the wagon. Several days later they pass through the village of Kida which marks their leaving the good Southern Road as they head west. The track they follow is rutted and uncared for. The characters are sent scouting that night and run into a small hunting party of Sheesh (orcs). The party had little trouble dispatching them.
